When they’re not designing websites, Courtney works as a Therapist in private practice and Shira is a Producer in branded content, commercials, film and television. Between the two of them, they both listen and tell stories for a living; hence their love of storytelling.

They have channeled this into A Couple Designers, allowing Courtney and Shira to stretch their creative muscles and spend some quality time together in the process.

The duo has been married since 2019. In that time, Shira credits Courtney with making her a better listener and communicator, and Courtney has Shira to thank for introducing her to movies beyond just Erin Brockovich and Stepmom… although Shira can concede that these are both wonderful films and Julia Roberts is still America’s sweetheart.

In their spare time, they enjoy cooking, finding cute coffee shops, exploring new towns, listening to Taylor Swift, watching documentaries, reading good books, trying not to kill their house plants, and making a mess (Courtney) / cleaning up (Shira).

The couple live in New York with their daughter, Gray, and their dog, Milo.
